  4. MicroGenesis' Shareware Registration Service

  6. About MicroGenesis
  7. MicroGenesis is a company with interests in both in-house software 
  8. development, as well as shareware distribution and registration services.  
  9. In order to facilitate our recent release of the IBM and compatibles 
  10. version of WarWizard, a shareware role playing game, we acquired a 
  11. merchant account as well as a toll-free order line.  One of our 
  12. goals is to bring together shareware authors, their products, and 
  13. to promote the shareware concept in general.  Therefore, we now offer 
  14. the following services.

  16. Basic Registration Service
  17. MicroGenesis will take orders from customers for the registered 
  18. fully-licensed version of their product.  These orders can be placed 
  19. in the following manner:  our toll-free (US only) order line 
  20. (monday thru saturday 10am to 10pm PST), our regular line (for 
  21. international calls, same hours), FAX, or email (Compuserve, 
  22. America Online, and the Internet). Costs for this service are:  
  23. $4 per order, plus 3% of the total amount (covers our credit card 
  24. bank charges).  MicroGenesis will inform the author of the order 
  25. within 24 hours via either telephone, email, or FAX (author's 
  26. preference).  MicroGenesis will mail a check for the sales monthly, 
  27. less the charges incurred.

  29. Registration/Shipping Service
  30. This service is identical to the Basic Registration, except we will 
  31. ship your product for you.  The fee is identical except for the 
  32. shipping and handling charge, to cover our costs and labor.  This 
  33. fee depends on the author's product and will be decided upon 
  34. individually.

  36. MicroGenesis Affiliate Service
  37. A parallel goal of MicroGenesis, in its attempt to promote the 
  38. shareware industry, is to build a company similar to Apogee and 
  39. Epic MegaGames.  We would like to work together with small 
  40. development houses across the nation (and elsewhere).  We would like 
  41. to concentrate primarily on those genres that Apogee and Epic are not 
  42. interested, adventure and RPG games, but will consider any quality 
  43. piece of software.  These products will all bear the MicroGenesis 
  44. name as publisher, but the author and his/her company will always 
  45. receive their due credit as well as retain full rights and
  46. ownership.  We believe it will be beneficial to both the authors 
  47. and us that MicroGenesis develops name recognition. 
  48. Our charge for this service is 20% of the selling price of the
  49. author's software.  We will also assist the author in distribution
  50. of the product by placing it on the internet, major on-line services, 
  51. and the larger BBSs.  In the future, given sufficient
  52. interest in this service, we intend to advertise in major magazines, 
  53. set up a BBS and a World Wide Web home page, publish a catalog,
  54. as well as seek other professional methods of promotion and 
  55. distribution.

  57. Customer Support & Returns
  58. The author is responsible for warranties and technical support.  
  59. Any indication of fraud or negligence will result in
  60. termination of agreements between MicroGenesis and the author.  
  61. If the author decides to accept returns, it is entirely
  62. his/her responsibility and the customer must contact him/her 
  63. directly.  Calls made to MicroGenesis' toll-free order line
  64. that are not orders will result in a $5 charge to the author 
  65. per call.
